Profile
There are people who love hardware. There are people who
love software. I love users. I love the challenge of
converting ideas into working prototypes and deliverable
products that people enjoy using.
Experience
Director of Technology, OneTaste San Francisco, CA 2006 -
2008
Over the last 14 months I’ve designed and built a community
site and a back end UI for running the OneTaste
organization. Features of the community site include a
chatboard, blogs, member profiles, electronic distribution
of videos. The administrative site include a CMS for
managing the dynamic content on the site, course
registration and user management. Site has over 10,000
users, about 1,000 are active.
Senior Software Developer, LynchMarks Albany, CA 2006
Streamlined the installation process for the PS|Ship
application, it had been three weeks, got it down to about
three hours. Designed and built add-ins to the core
product, including interfaces to FedEx, DHL and UPS.
Designed, but didn’t implement a partial replacement to the
core product.
Principal, WildCharacters 2000 - Present
Designed, built and maintained over 300 web sites, (or over
5000 if we cheat). I’m not a graphic artist, but can
sometimes prevail. At WildCharacters I’ve had the privilege
to work on some truly amazing projects.
Software Development Manager, Next Online Seattle, WA 2004
- 2005
NextOnline was the development arm of MILA. MILA was one of
the larger wholesale mortgage lenders in the country, until
it closed up shop, suddenly one Friday afternoon. At
NextOnline I lead the development of their core product:
Credex. Credex is a tool that can be used by lenders to
review an applicants credit scores and history.
